Completed Case Study | Mohammad Hasan (29) was the one unlike thousands of terrorized Rohingya who fled from Myanmar in August 2017 as they came under violent attack by the army. Mr. Hasan was luckily escaped from the army with his family. Once Hasan has his own house in Rakhaine but now lives with his wife and two son at a temporary shelter in Shamlapur camp-23. Where basic foods are difficult to manage, enjoying meat is a luxury for them. Although WFP provides rice, lentils and oil as basic food items which hardly cater nutritional demand. This year qurbani project by MAUSA, implemented by GUSS was a blessings for the family. Qurbani meats ensured a good source of protein for the adults and children. |
Beneficiary Quotation #1 | “I was so much frustrated as there were no sweets, no gifts, no new clothing or meats for my kids during this Eid festival (Ramadan). I left this upon Allah. When I was enlisted for the qurbani meat distribution, we were very happy and thought that it was a gift from Allah. My kids enjoyed Eid–Ul–Adha with full of Joy”. |
Beneficiary Quotation #2 | “We are living a miserable life. My two small kids became very happy after receiving the meat. The meat is highly valued for us. I prayed for MAUSA who provided us meat on Eid-Ul-Adha. May Allah reward them in hereafter”. |
